I have no experience with the early Half Cents, but I'll take a stab at F15.

I'd say VF-25, with an exceptionally sharp and even strike. Even the rims are mostly very strong which is not often the case for early coppers. The color is pretty dark and there seems to be a hint of roughness to the surfaces but nothing that would qualify as corrosion. Looks like an excellent type coin, one I'd be proud to have in my set.

I will guess it graded F-12. A very nice coin!

Nice to see you here, coinpictures. You've been one of my personal benchmarks regarding coin imaging for quite a while now. Poke your nose into our Photography forum - we're doing some interesting things in there.

I don't see these enough to really be an expert at grading first thought was F15 then I look at it for a 1700 coin in that good of condition, I'm guessing I'm way off so final answer is VF25. I just can't find any flaws with it, other than normal wear. and a couple of very light old scratches that have worn in nicely and don't distract. Great coin that's well over 200 years old.

This was actually a trick question. It's not in an NGC holder, but rather an NCS holder: "F Details - Corroded".
This is by far the most attractive "problem coin" I've ever owned. Without exception, every single collector or dealer I've shown the coin to in person has had the same reaction: "Crack that puppy out!"
I bought it about 3 years ago on Teletrade, for what amounts to roughly VG greysheet. Needless to say, I'm quite happy with the coin for the money.

I'd be happy with a "problem" coin that looked that nice!
