with a couple of clicks on the sellers account info its obvious that they aren't a dealer or serious collector. maybe its some kid who found this exotic treasure and is excited about it. remember those days? maybe its an immigrant, elderly person or handicapped individual with limited english skills? in the time it took to post the link one could've sent the seller a note and explained what it is he really had. That would be doing the hobby a service. posting links so everyone can point and laugh really gives off an elitist aura & could make new people reading here afraid to ask questions etc for fear of being ridiculed. /end rant

I think the opinion of this topic was based on someone fully aware of their listing intent, which frequently happens on ebay. As you pointed out Wade, that is most likely not the case. Foreign coins intrigued me as a kid and even now there are many coins I wouldn't know the value to without searching or asking on this forum.

ebay if full of scammers and people trying to make a easy buck....i posted it so we could all have a good laugh....i doubt anyone would be afraid to ask a question because of this posting.....it would of taken a whole 2 seconds to look up this coin and realize its worth 2 Canadian dollars. But instead he posts it as a rare 2 tone coin in nice condition with some crappy pictures....so in my mind this seller deserves to get laughed at....

Greetings from The Old Coin Collectors Home! I agree with the theory that the offering probably came from an elderly person with limited English skills. Probably some poor old geezer with English skills so limited that he starts sentences with conjunctions &/or without capitalizing the first letter of the first word, has to use silly little smiley faces to communicate concepts and probably uses ostentatious language like the phrase "&/or" to keep that elitist thing going, too! Yee hah!
