One for the X-files. Really, quit obsessing on it for abit, it'll probably show up. Hard to accidently spend one & big enough to stand out.

I lost a Russian 5 kopek silver coin once (about 10mm big) for 3 years. I found it eventually behind my desk. It'll turn up, just wait for it.

That stinks! I'm sorry! But I do agree... It'll probably turn up where and when you least expect it. It's just taking a vaccation.. Lol.

Did you loose it outside of the house? Like was it a pocket piece? Or is it missing from somewhere in your house?

I was going to ask the same type of questions because the title and description really doesn't give any information on how it was lost. If you had it sitting somewhere and now its not there chances are you have moved it and forgot about it or you are looking straight at it and just don't see it (this has happened to me more than I want to admit). If it was in the house at all times and there haven't been anyone you do not trust in there chances are it will turn up somewhere you least expect it to be

Been there, done that and also (I think) always found the missing thing. Do your best to remember the last time you saw it, what you were doing and where you
went. Think of every single possible place where you might have stuck it. Then think of all the stupid places, the crazy places, the wildly unlikely places, the
absolutely impossible places and the totally wrong places where you might have unintentionally stuck it without remembering. You'll almost undoubtedly find it.
If you don't, it'll pop up (as mentioned above) all by itself some day.

In the meantime, get an ammo box (or a shoebox or something), use it without fail and keep all your stuff together. Best of luck with your hunt!

P.S: I'm currently in the search mode, too---looking for a vacationing 2002 silver Britannia. We should have a race to see who finds the missing piece first.

I know the feeling of losing a coin, however, I did find my 2001 new hampshire quarter after it had been missing for 2 months, so you might find the coin again.

The best ammo box sources are gun shows, army-navy stores and military surplus vendors. Also look in Amazon under "ammo can" and "military
surplus ammo can." The best prices will be at gun shows and the stores. On rare occasions, maybe even a local gun dealer.

If nothing else, at least get a plastic fishing tackle box or a tool box. They're a lot cheaper and the point is keeping your stuff together to avoid
repetitions of what you just did.
