I have been trying to find a DDO #9. The pictures I attached are of one of the cents I have which only shows some doubling? above the horizontal bar of the 2, but I don't think this is the 9. The picture I've seen on coppercoins looks like just a nice clean square bar. The ones I have are not that clean, but appear ragged. If anyone has a picture of a true 9, I would love to see it. Any chance this one comes close to .59? or will it always show as that nice clean bar?

according to cherrypickers that is the 033.59. Looks exactly the same in the book so my guess is that it is the 9. Are there any other marks on the other letters like in God or Liberty? It could very well be a .56 as well as they both look quite similar.

Oh Wow! That would be great. I've been searching a while for one of these little guys. Didn't think my bar was neat enough and was only able to compare with the one picture I saw on coppercoins. I really don't see anything on liberty or God, but again what do I know. I'm new to all this.

That is not the doubled die - a lot of 1972 cents look like that one. The doubled die is plain as day, and is pretty scarce, which is why you haven't found one.

I would hold on to it regardless. Use it so you can compare it to similar findings. Good Luck!!
