1858 Large Date 5 Cent Varities - Coin Community Forum

DEVLEC Pillar of the Community Canada 3234 Posts	Posted 03/05/2013 11:06 am Here are 2 examples of my large date varieties. The first 2 pics are RPI and the last 2 are RP2. DEVLEC Pillar of the Community Canada 3234 Posts	Posted 03/08/2013 9:04 pm From what we see here it seems that each 5 cent piece was struck from different dies or that's 'almost' how it seems. The die cracks from the crown down do have some similarities though. Here is a view of an obverse of one of my 1858 LD's. We don't see nearly as many die cracks on any of these obverses. ....but could there be as many different obverses also? Report this Post to the Staff
