They are definately both the same coin. The black crud on the top half of the "0" in "50" on the reverse identifies them forensicly. Clearly the seller is trying to commit fraud as he poorly attempted to hide the ANACS holder in his 'raw' coin pictures and his statement, "THIS COIN IS GRADED VERY FINE WITH LOTS OF DETAIL AND PROBLEM FREE". Apparently he is desparate to sell this coin.

I've gotten no response yet. Someone else should ask him about it and see if that will get a response.

Yep, I would agree with jbuck here. No doubt, same coin.

I'm definitely saying same coin too and looks to be a shady seller at that.

With regards to the 1838 Bust half that was sold and relisted, I asked him the following:
Dear dwb9242,
I noticed that you sold a coin like this last month and now this one is a re-listed one, is this the exact coin I will receive?
- r********
Below was his response I just received, copied and pasted: Dear r*******,
What you see is what you get. If I iuse a stock photo I make a notation in the description.
Thanks for yiour interest and your keen eye.
Regards
David

hmmm, not the most customer friendly response... If it was a relist, he shouldn't have a problem saying so.
And no reply to arcticsparky's question I assume?

I was thinking he would say something like that about re-listing it because someone returned it, etc. I also noticed that he has many typos and some listings are obviously slabbed but he doesn't show the top portion of the slab as if hiding something. Many of his pictures are not that great either.

Yeah I noticed that too. Why not show the whole slab if the coin is problem free? Just seems like a shady thing to do. that, and the fact that many of his pictures are blurry.
I actually bought two coins from this guy, that's how I stumbled upon him. Right after the purchase, one of the coins "went missing" from his inventory. So who knows how many times he has sold that particular coin.
So why did I buy from this guy despite his shady tactics? I really wanted the coins and didn't think much about it at the time

epikur: That's true. Did he refund you the money or go through Paypal?
Articsparky: when I asked him last night he responded within a few minutes, which I was surprised how fast it was.

You asked about a different coin. Maybe he didn't want to say anything about the 1833.

I agree with those that say it is the same coin. Check the shape of the dark areas on the fields.

He did refund me the one coin he "lost", so no worries there.
