I did link it correctly...

so a seller is listing the same coin twice. One graded and one ungraded. the ungraded at problem free, but with a lower BIN price than the details graded slabbed one...
The "raw" one isn't even out of the slab yet.

Lighting and blurry pics can make wonders...
but look at the dirt on the reverse, especially around the denomination

clearly the same coin

What makes you think it is the same coin? Looks like two different coins to me.

Yep, It's the same coin. He could have made a mistake when he uploaded his photos. I've put the wrong coin photo in before on accident.

Very close but look at the nose on both. I think they are different.

I sent the seller a message about his mistake. We'll see what he does. The tarnish is the same in too many spots. If I'm wrong he'll just tell me and I'm ok with that. But if it is the same coin, he can save himself some trouble.

I'm almost sure this is indeed the same coin. Nice catch.

There are way too many similarities for this to be two different coins..

Probably a mistake, the the paranoid epikur takes over once in a while..

I still see thick rims on every darn Liberty seated half I look at since the 1856-O thread about a week ago

It looks like I may have been wrong. There are differences, but an amazing amount of similarities. I sent a retraction to the seller.

The differences are with lighting, nothing more. They are the same coin. Scubu's comparison photo makes it obvious.

They are the same coin, and if you look carefully I believe the 2nd one is also in a slab. Lets hope its an honest mistake and that he mixed up the pictures.

I see it hard to be a mistake when weird things are going on like what I posted as #8 in this thread...just looks really suspicious

It doesn't look like a mistake to me. epikur's 1838 half shows it.

If I had to guess (not accusing), he is either using stock photos without saying it (surprising the customers when the coins arrive), or worse:

These might be fakes. (If produced in the same method, including "fake wear", it make sense that all coins will be extremely similar).
