Got this Hawaii quarter today, and I was wondering on a possible grade for it. Any thoughts?

It looks pretty dinged up around the rim.

Most anything you get out of circulation, is going to be AU, An UNC designation for a circulated coin is a bit of an oxymoron. Unless of course you got it out of a new bank roll or you got it in change out of a new bank roll in the cash draw.
I have never sent in a " change " coin for grading, but I have compared many coins I have gotten in change to slabbed coins I have and have never estimated anything above MS 66.
I agree with Dave , pretty dinged up probably an AU.

Even the ones I ordered from the mint in rolls, look a lot worse than I would expect. They're fairly banged up. I sold some on ebay and one of the comments were "came in rough shape". That's exactly how I received them from the mint.

Though it does have its dings around the rim, it's certainly at least a 66. My volcanoes ms 68 slabbed is not much better. This being based off of the given pics.

Most of the coins in my 2010, 2011, and 2012 ATB circulated quarter sets I bought from the Mint have dings around the rim. The coins in the 2013 uncirculated ATB Quarter set are much cleaner and brighter than in the previous sets listed.

Mindset- What grading company is yours from? I am assuming it is not PCGS. The above coin IMO isn't higher than MS64. It also is hard to grade with a blurry picture so that may affect everyones ability to grade the coin.

I have to believe this was a joke right? Would anyone really grade a circulated non-silver quarter?

My Glacier Montana (P) national park quarter has a mintage of 30,400,000 and a population of 109 my question is would you break it out or keep it with your other ones ?

Suit yourself, but pop figures mean nothing for a coin like this.

OP coin looks MS-64. I agree with Frog, pops are low because it costs far more to slab these than they would be worth. So few people do it.

OPs Coin ... I would go MS 64 ------------------- For a slabbed modern Coin like the ATB posted. It is worth more in the slab. You can buy CH BU or better ATB raw quarters for .50 to $1.00. I would not send in a modern quarter for grading, unless I thought it was very high grade. At least MS 67. At this point .... not sure why I would even do that.

The reason for the $2,500 for a MS 68 ... is because there have been very f few MS 68 graded. I have around 10,000 uncirculated clad Washington quarters. If I had to bet if any of mine were MS 68 .. or even MS 67 I would bet that none of mine are MS 67 or higher.
