Gosh, I've seen a lot of horrible pictures on the bay lately.

For instance, the BU penny rolls that are dumped all over the counter to prove to you how beautiful they are.

Or that one guy who sells MS Indian Head cents, but always uses his dirty mattress as photo booth.

Oh yeah, and that one seller who always places their lustrous coins in the palm of their nasty hand. Seeing a macro of someone's hand behind a coin for sale REALLY makes me wanna make an offer.

Maybe what did it for me was the 3 MS Indian Head cents I saw today, with gorgeous original color. However, the seller obviously handled them like zincolns because the coins have finger prints all over them.

I started a folder on my computer of sellers with stupid pictures. People hold proof coins on the end of their fingers and crap like that.

Here is a nice one:

It was a nice proof until you took it out of the case and got your greasy cheeseburger hands all over the surfaces.

For anyone north of the US Border, this quote sounds like Randy and Lahey were handling collectible coins.

Ouch! That coin is begging for a new owner! Just take a dang look at the coin, you see a large finger print! Plus you see some cheeseburger crumbs on the top right corner.

For only an extra 7 dollars he'll polish (not Polish) the coin back to as good as new condition .

It depeneds on whether they are a seller specializing in coins or just an antique outlet.

Everyone puts a different value on different things.

To those who drive a BMW but never change their oil make those of us that drive rust buckets that we take care of say "why would someone do that to a car?"
