I have been going to US Bank to get my pennies nickels and just coins in general and they are always so nice when dealing with me. I am wondering if I should tell them what I do and show them my folders that they are helping me fill? Do you think this would be a good idea to do because I have heard banks saving CWR's and helping out once you get to know them. What do you think I should do?

No need to go all out, tell them what you do, show them a few cool coins, don't tell them that they are worth a ton or they might want to start saving for themselves... Give them your number and tell them to call you if they anything "out of the ordinary" which is the hardest part to describe to them...

i buy my bank girl 2 gift cards every year 1 at christmas 1 in the middle of the year I tell her every time I find a good one she gets a thankful gift card now she sees me walk in and runs to exchange my boxes and she now looks out for anything I might want! but remember you need to buy everything she saves for you dont turn anything down or she will stop saving things and second guess every decision just take it all and say ill go through it this weekend.

I'm a US Bank customer too, and the tellers at my branch all know me. I periodically ask if they have "any interesting halves or dollar coins," and they're always happy to show me what's in their drawers. I think they think I'm just a harmless eccentric who likes pretty pictures. I wouldn't let on that some of the coins might have value above and beyond their face value.

Im not their customer but from time to time I go there for a dozen rolls of quarters, lately I've been getting a ton of chickasaw P 's there, which is odd! Anyways I wouldnt bring anything in to show them. just be freindly.

US Bank around here charges $3.50 per box of halves. I can usually get $100 out of them without a few but I only stop in if my Chase branch forgets to order my boxes.

I agree with the other posters on here about not taking your folder in. I told my teller lady I collect them for making sets, and she always knows why I am coming in the bank when I do go in. If you build even that little bit of rapport it should produce benefits pretty quickly. And leaving your number is not a bad option if they agree to help you out that way too.
