Picked this up today, sealed.

Nearly-22-Year-Old-Box-Of-Halves

Can't wait to rip into it. Silver was trading at just over $4 (!!) an ounce when this box was ordered! I was only 5 years old. Lol.

No motherlode. Just one ender, a '68. Ended up with 6 40% and a '43 Walker. Not a bad box, by todays silver prices, but back then... man that box would be pretty bad, ha.

Newest coin was an '89, multiples of that date, both P&D. So the date ranges agree with the writing on the box.

Condolences and congrats! "So close, but yet so far..." but there's nothing AT ALL wrong with around $34 worth of silver!
That's better than any box of halves I ever hunted!

I like that photo, too! It looks like a cellphone camera shot taken in a car -- I'm guessing at some crazy location that should
drive any phone-camera GPS metadata-reading bad dogs totally crazy in the head. I like that a lot! GREAT touch!!

Owass, some old lady turned 'em in. There were a couple more, 3 more. Didn't have time to get them today, will get them probably Monday.

Freddy, lol, yeah took it with my cell in my car. I am pretty dang sure all the exif data is stripped out of my photos when I upload them to photobucket, but I should probably check that out just in case.

Looking forward to see what the other 3 boxes turn out... if they are still available.
