After taking out all the good pennies, quarters, and such I decided to dump the rest into CoinStar.

There was something satisfying about hearing the machine counting & sorting all the coins.

How does a coinstar machine work for the no fee gift cards?

I have scored a silver Roosevelt from the reject tray walking by the machine once and while on vacation down in MS I found a pile of $3 worth change (I left the cents and the dust) still in the top grater tray covered in what I assume was peanut dust from a jar of Planter dry roasted peanuts and the coins were thrown in the jar without washing it out first and then just dumping the whole mess in the machine.

Do you use the touchscreen to pick the gift card and the start dumping and it prints out a card for you or do you just dump and get a receipt and then go to the customer service desk and tell them what you want?

I do miss dumping at Wells Fargo since they give you the same printout with each denomination (they have to be the slowest bank I have ever been to dumping) and since it is on my parents account I don't go there that often.
