Nice acquisition! I think AU 55 also. By the way, if you should decide to include the "Stella", one is being offered for just under a quarter of a million dollars as we speak. "You've chosen wisely sir knight."

Nice piece. It does AU55 or 58 and is one of those "sliders" that we often see in MS62 holders. The light friction in the fields makes me think it's an honest 58.

Wow, nice Eagle! Great luster on this one, Such nice coins! I'm a bit unsure on this one, its either a slider as mentioned or low MS.. Really hard to tell with this soft metal, and depending on who's grading it, it really could go either way... I'd say its either a AU-55/58 or a MS-60/61. Just too many marks on the face and in the fields to pull a 63 IMHO, honestly I think even a 62 would be a pretty generous grade, I see it as a 61 tops. But again, what a beautiful coin!

need to examine gold in hand for the wear spots, I think a nice AU55 or MS61/62 grade is warranted on this gold piece.

Well my first impression was MS 64, but since most of you guys are counting the excess of bag marks on the obverse cheeks as wear, ya'll are prolly right, but I will say AU 58. Of course, no one ever said rachums107 was good at grading gold. Better at silver. Anyway, seems to me like those marks are just marks and not wear

I'm not seeing the marks as wear, those are just contact marks, and far more appear quickly on gold opposed to silver due to the softer metal, and are usually given a leniency in grading due to it. However, I'm seeing enough marks where I'd say this one would be held at a MS-61, with a shot at a 62.
I'm for sure no expert in gold either, I've only recently taken a stronger interest in gold, I was more of a silver guy.. and I'm not sure if its wear on the high points of the hair/brow and shield or if they're just contact marks in those areas or even just the photos.. As mentioned it'd have to be inspected in hand for signs of rub on the high points opposed to just hits, otherwise, for me at least it's a fine line of distinguishing between high AU and low MS.. I believe that's why others have also said its either AU or MS, because without in hand or great close up pics it's a really tough call...

I will go with AU-58 but if it face and neck are as lustrous as it is in the fields, it may grade MS-61 or 62.

Update from NGC...
MS63...maybe a bit overgraded, but I'm happy. Just proves how difficult it is to grade gold
