To me, the RCM web site image of the coin makes it look a bit cartoonish but the coin does not have such a characteristic when viewed in hand. The multiple finishes add nice extra depth to a "plain" silver coin. I hope the RCM continues to use this technique on its commemorative silver dollars vs. other gimmicky bedazzlements. I don't understand why there isn't more demand for this coin. It certainly seems well done. Can it be because it's not a full Oz ? I feel it's one of the top coins this year. From reading this forum and others, it appears that many collectors of modern NCLT get more excited about "new technology" coins vs. the more traditional.
