That seven years war dollar is the most interesting release I have seen since the 1812 gold plated proof.

Received my Seven Years War silver dollar today - happy to report it's another case of "better looking in hand vs. web site image." To me, the RCM web site image of the coin makes it look a bit cartoonish but the coin does not have such a characteristic when viewed in hand.

The multiple finishes add nice extra depth to a "plain" silver coin. I hope the RCM continues to use this technique on its commemorative silver dollars vs. other gimmicky bedazzlements.

This coin is AMAZING. The details are incredible. This is an NCLT triumph. And for us silver dollar collectors, a jewel.

I'm pleased such effort was put into an old-school series.

Congrats, guys, for the really nice purchase.

The coin is amazing in it's details and technique...

Want one too, but following to the politics of thematically limits - will pass on it.

Awaiting stock.

Surprisingly fast.

I sure hope the mint continues to use the silver dollar to push the envelope of pure die struck offerings.

I got mine, and while I am impressed, I was expecting more. I definitely don't regret my purchase though.

Why pay $69.95 if you can wait and buy it for $53 :-)

I'm waiting to receive mine from colonial acres, it looks outstanding in the photos I've seen. I don't understand why there isn't more demand for this coin. It certainly seems well done. Can it be because it's not a full Oz ? I feel it's one of the top coins this year. I'm sure I'm not going to be disappointed.

It could be because it is an unadorned "traditional" coin commemorating history vs. a bedazzled novelty coin. From reading this forum and others, it appears that many collectors of modern NCLT get more excited about "new technology" coins vs. the more traditional. Nothing wrong with that, but it does reduce the collector base for the traditional coins.

It's sad.

This is a major improvement in a the quality of THE classic coin series.

Are all the new collectors attracted to NCLT flash?

Did you mean "trash"?

All 3 Silver Dollars this year were exceptionally well done.
As non-SD collector bought 2 of them, just because they nice coins with interesting theme.

Well, and other innovative coins...IMO they just "sells good"

As someone said, the pictures that the people use that come from the RCM don't do justice neither ...

This is the best picture of the real coin in hand I found, maybe someone has one better:
