Part of the April releases maybe what turns out to be the most interesting coin from a numismatic point of view.
It's the latest limited edition (10000 mintage) silver dollar commemorating the 250th anniversary of the end of the Seven Years War (1756-1763).
Showing British and French soldiers, the First Nations people and colonists, the description claims that it incorporates five DIFFERENT coin finishes on the single coin. Obvious the render pic has no hope of conveying that.
As a NCLT silver dollar collector from childhood, this was a no-brainer for me. I collect every silver dollar.

Oh wow thanks for the heads up, I'm going to be watching out for that coin! Do you know if the 5 different finished will be something similar to the the Untamed Canada: Arctic Fox finish? Because I really love the look of that coin. And on top of that I love Canadian history, so I'm very interested in this coin!

This one was the first coin I ordered from the list of new releases. As a commemorative silver dollar collector it was a "must have." The RCM's use of multiple finishes on some of its "plain" silver coins is something to be applauded - it really enhances the appearance of the designs on the coins. I'm looking forward to seeing the coin "live!"

Why the call to this "Limited Edition"? This is NCLT, and the mintage is 10.000 - not so limited.
Who knows?
Good item for the Silver Dollar collectors.

Quote: Why the call to this "Limited Edition"? A commemorative silver dollar mintage of 10,000 is "limited" when compared to the typical mintages for the RCM's regular edition commemorative silver dollars. For example, the proof version of this year's Canadian Arctic Expedition dollar coin has a mintage of 40,000. For the last 10+ years, the RCM has been using the terms "Limited Edition" and "Special Edition" to denote commemorative silver dollars that are in addition to the annual January release that is included in the year's proof sets. These limited/special dollars have had mintages in the 5,000 to 10,000 range.

I just checked as this item is not sold out. You should be ok for general release. Limit of 3 per household.
