Found a couple of P's by no D's yet here in central PA. Picked up 3 boxes to go thru. Maybe some will be in them.

In an attempt to find wheats, I got 20 rolls of new 2013 D's. I never saw that before, but I'm not that active. I'll also trade if anyone wants to trust a brand new member :)
In fact, the way I found this site was to see if keeping the roles were worthwhile. I was hoping to see that 13Ds had errors or else I was going to return them!

Today, my order of several boxes of "String" wrapped cents arrived at my bank. The bank let's us order boxes of coin at face value. The boxes that came in were all wrapped rolls of 2013 D in unopened $25 boxes with a date on the bottom side. My question is... when I enter the title "2013 D cent box" on eBay-Coins- the boxes are actually selling for around $85/box + shipping. That price seems high but is it the 2013"3" D cent error that is helping raise the price of these penny boxes. Or, is it that it is early in the 2013 year for new coins and people want the new coins? Curious...

A recent box I sorted had one 2013 cent I placed in my book. Shiny but probably an ms64. In Chicago area we rarely see any D cents. But Presidential dollars were always D mint.

Can you give a little more details on the error you are talking about extraleafquarter? Any links to pics? Curious about this for sure!

I just read the article by Dave Harper that appeared in the NumismaticNews that appeared here in anoth thread that I started and he says that the mint has issued (albeit minter) billions of these pennies and I still haven't seen a box of 2013's let alone one from the Denver mint.
So far I've only found 3 rolls from the Philadelpha mint.

RKing007, the 2013 D cent error is mentioned as "plate buckling" on the cents on some ebay auctions.

As a follow up to my earlier post, I am torn. I have 40 bank rolls of 2013-D's. How many should I hang onto?

Friday I went to El Pollo Loco and I received (3) 2013-D penny's and (9) 2013-D dimes. All these coins just came from new rolls that the clerk broke open during my transaction.

El Pollo Loco? Man, that's crazy! ;)
I am still on the lookout for my first 2013 coinage. Well, except for a White Mountain D, which a friend gave me, which I don't technically count. I just don't do enough cash transactions to get the new year's releases quickly. All in time...

"Jack Jeckel-Got my first 2013's back in change today from the grocery store." Nice finds. I have been looking for 2013-P nickels and dimes in my area (Florida panhandle) and have not found any yet-just 2013-P pennies. Nice photo too. Thanks!

Around me, I'm just seeing 2012 rolls being opened and for being new, already seeing some spotting.

So I have several pennies out of two rolls that have this 'plate buckling'. Mostly seen above 'United' on the reverse like in this auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-D-Linc...047675.l2557Is this a real mint error or someone making dollars on ebay? Also, is this really caused by increasing pressure on the machine when the die wears down? In other words, with these being so new would that mean the reverse is also the same reverse used on the 2012 pennies? I've had these pennies for at least two months now.
