Comparing this image to clash overlays, tells me that the obv die was rotated, or is this something else?

I see what you are alking about. It maybe localized die damage. Seems strange just that area was affected?

There is a small hint of Lincoln's back or shoulder-line in bay 2. In the shawdow, It appears that Lincoln's neck is pointed NW...
