I bought a small lot of coins that I wanted and these two Barber dimes were part of the deal.
Scroll down for the first one. I was wondering what you thought of the grade, approximate value, likability of the toning? Unfortunately the camera I am using is not the best and can not accurately capture the correct color in person or the luster behind it but I think the photos are pretty close. They probably look closest to the last two photos in person. I'll probably be switching this one out for the one that's in my type set now.
And here is the second. The surface looks odd to me, it seems very glazed and reflective compared to the first which had a matte look but luster behind it. I posted a picture of the reflection you can see in it. I was wondering did someone dip it in an odd artificial toning or what? Also, grade and value? By the way, it might be hard to tell from the pictures but the first coin definitely has sharper detail than the second, the reflectivity just highlights them more in the photos. Thanks!
Well I'm glad you guys think so. I actually got these ones off ebay and got a super deal on them. Luckily for me the seller posted pretty bad pictures but I saw through the blurriness and bad lighting with my expert eye I got these plus a worn flying eagle and 22 indian heads in decent to good condition including a CN in good condition only having to bid $43 That first one rightfully replaced my worn 1899 barber I've had for a while
