looks to me like AU-50 overall. the obverse appears to be a little stronger than the reverse. I am only seeing slight wear on the highest points. I think the reverse is about xf45.

AU 55 and another great looker! A big difference in the size of the mint mark too.

From my new "The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated half dollars", I can now determine, (I think), the 2 different Die Marriages of the Old and New 1862 S's above are:

Old: WB-103, Small Wide "Broken" Mintmark

New: WB-101, Large Mintmark
