If you are posting this coin for grading opinions, the Classic US Coin Grading forum would be the best choice. If you are sharing your metal detector find, then the Metal Detecting Finds forum would be the best choice. Hope This Helps

It's in the correct forum and he's not really looking for a grade, just opinions. We'll leave it here ;)

I think finding a 1909s with a metal detector is absolutely insane. good for you! Looks like it was pretty new when it hit the ground.

Well I think it's pretty stinking awesome considering I paid $78 for my 09s in fine condition! I'll ask what you all think it would grade through a TPG? I'm trying to figure out what 'details' means... would this get that with the grade since it looks corroded or whatever is going on there?

I think the ding on the 8 o'clock position is what's making the coin look off-round. Very nice find and it's in surprisingly good condition. Sacramento is not exactly free from humidity.

Dude, punctuation is your friend.
Great find. Yes, it would garner a details for corrosion and damage. Looks to be in the high VF neighborhood.
