Thanks Throwbackid :)

I thought proir to the auction that many would know what was before them and I would surely be outbid.

Pre auction bids rose the original estimate from $150-302.50
I was the only live bid at auction for $340 and it was done.
All that worry about being outbid for nothing.
It was like sitting on a bed of nails for days while I waited for the auction to take place.

It sure looks real to me also. With the weight, magnet test and its provenance.
I'm just wondering why Engelhard uniquely stamped these bars differently?
NO 2 are exactly the same. No standard punching.
Well if number 261 sold for $4485. Can you imagine what number 4 will fetch?
With only a 1000 minted.

As a new member you are not allowed to sell it on CCF. There are some hardcore Engelhard bar collectors on the PM forum at Collectors Universe. You might want to post it there and get more insight.

Good Luck!

Does anyone know of an authentication service that I can use to authenticate this bar?

Thanks
