ive never seen a coin like this before, honestly I forget where I found it. my first thoughts were that it's fake because 1724 seems crazy to me.

I don't have a Krause Catalog covering that date, but the wording on the reverse leads me to think German/Austrian

Could it be German States Julich-Berg 1/2 Stuber KM#206 1794 (rather than 1724)?

taking a closer look, it does appear I was incorrect on the date.. aiglet7, it appear you're correct with the 1794.. thank you very much for the link as well!

You think 1724 is old, you should pop into the ancients section!

This is a pretty nice coin. I like the 1780-1800 period. I dont see many coins I dislike from that period.

BenByfield, I just joined a few days ago and I can't stop looking through posts. You're sooo right! I'm hooked right now, I cant wait to find another unique coin. Should pull out my metal detector one of these days and go hunting
