I have been searching online and using catalogues to try and identify this coin: I wonder could someone help me to identify this coin and possible year it was made , which I think is Indian? On the lower image the script written on the periphery in circle is Tamil that reads something like " companiar" on the left (meaning Company but not East India Company) and "pottavuraitappu" on the right. The linear legend inside the line of circle is in Telugu.This most probably is a token struck imitating EIC coins of Madras Presidency. Report this Post to the Staff
