OK, the only way I get a birthday present this year is if I buy it for myself, so that's what I'm gonna do. I'm asking for links, not suggestions - there's no way I can look at every coin out there, so I'm asking you guys to link me to stuff I haven't seen.

If American, it needs to be either a nice, clean EF or better example for my typeset, preferably something with cracks, clashes or other neat differences, or it needs to be a pre-1971 PCGS PR69DCAM Jefferson. If Darkside, it needs to be 16th-18th century, and either uncirculated or nearly so. Preferably silver, and preferably big (half-Taler or larger).

Or a nice 1938 Aussie Crown, with an obverse that doesn't look like it's seen buckshot.

Spend up to $500 of my money.

You're hurting me, Richard.

Is it me, or does the '69 have gravel on the cheek?

Its a small scuff on the holder just below the scratch mark. Looking at it through the loop it looks like some kind of heat damage. the plastic is uneven over that area.

nohope587.....I sure like the look of those 2 cents. I get the one you traded me out almost every day just to look at it. I'm hooked, I've added collecting a set of these to my goal of filling my 7070.

SuperDave....I can't help you out, but wish you a happy birthday & good luck on your hunt.

Dave:

This may not fit your criteria........."If Darkside, it needs to be 16th-18th century, and either uncirculated or nearly "

This last weekend I ordered a 2007 Aussie Koala, in the Luna Series, a first of this type. Look on the Perth Mint site for this beautiful coin.

Have fun,
