Today I went to the bank to pick up 2 boxes of half dollars and the teller said I saved you something and gave me an envelope with 26 Ikes in it. I looked in and saw a very shiny Ike I pulled it out and it was a silver 73 S I looked back in and then found a silver 71 S . Then in the half dollars I found my first silver half a 1952 Franklin then in the second box I found a 64. I was very surprised to find two 90% silver half dollars and not find any 40% silvers. Was anyone elses first silver half dollar a Franklin?
Rest in Peace

Mine was -- but we were still using those for money back then.

Wish I kept more of them.

Nice score! especially on the silver ikes!
I had found silvers elsewhere, but my first 90% from roll searching was actually a Walking Liberty, but then a Franklin wasnt far behind it in that same box.

Definitely a dancing fruit occasion - congrats!

A Franklin for your first silver - and in the year 2013 - 50 years after the last one was made - amazing!
