The RCM issued tooth fairy quarters in 2011 and 2012. I don't see one for 2013 on the RCM webpage. Does anyone know if they are planning to release a 2013 version of the tooth fairy quarter? Now that my daughter is 5 this year she'll probably be losing her first tooth soon, so I was hoping that they'll be doing one this year as well.

Thanks for any information.

The way I understand it is when the post office gets their flyer for the releases in the coming up month, that's the earliest anyone knows what's coming out next month, and only one month forward, that's if someone from the forum world here see's the flyer and shares the info before Master Club members get their advance notice and share the info. Nothing past the coming up month is never known except for some subscription coins, $20 for $20's, etc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I would have thought if they were coming out with a Tooth Fairy coin this year it would have come out at the beginning of the year with the O Canada, Wedding and Birthday sets. In the past, the holiday set is the only one they delay until the end of the year. They may have decided there just wasn't enough demand and it's gone the way of the Congratulations and Thank You sets.

mcshilling, how do you know that the Thank You quarter isn't being made this year? Was this confirmed by anyone at the Mint? Just wondering because you're probably right, if they got rid of one, they'll probably nix the other as well. I'm not a fan of the Gary Taxali coin last year, so I'll probably have to pick up a 2011 in the aftermarket.

The Thank You set was only issued in 2009 & 2010. The Congratulations set was 2007-2010.

I liked the tooth fairy coins. Told the kids that the Tooth Fairy had the coins specially made for her by the mint. I waited till they lost their first tooth of the year and then would leave the coin under their pillow when they were sleeping.
