I seem to ask you many simple questions I do not need an answer as much as instructions on how to find my answer. I can not think too well on some days. Computers confuse me. I was born before there was television but I can watch it without any problems. Gerry.

Go to this site http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.phpClick on the link for the date range of the coin you're looking for. In this case, under Twenty-Five Cents click 1953 to 2013 - Elizabeth II. Then click on the link for 2011. Scroll down to the bottom and there is a section titled Mintages. Unfortunately, in this case it's not populated but this will give you lots of good info for other years. So you'll have to go with one of the answers above. Charlton gives 12,500,000 combined regular and colourised for the Bison and Falcon but only 450,000 combined for the Orca. Not sure why they would make so few for just that one.

I also thought t strange to short-print just one of the coins in the series. if that is the case, there are only 225,00 non-color and 225,000 color :)

12,500,000 million Orca quarters were minted,450,000 in 2011 and 12,050,000 in 2012. The 2012 Annual Report had not been issued before the 2013 Charlton's was ready for publication.

The mint report doesn't break the mintage down for coloured and non-coloured,but elsewhere on the mint's website they mention "half are coloured" and "more than 6 million coloured".

I can't remember the mintages that I had heard when they started issuing them but I was sure I heard the colored orca was way smaller of a mintage. I do have another question though....
Are the packs of 6 quarters issued by the mint in the pliofilm packages included in this mintage? Or is it just circulated rolls?
