It's kinda cool. Go to the website and enter the serial numbers. anyone that gets the bill has the option of saying where it's been and where they got it. I got a bill once in nebraska that had visited hawaii and new york. too bad there's no way for finding history of coins.

I've gotten one of those bills before too. It had only been to a couple towns in my general area, (Kansas), so it wasn't too exciting.

The late "Catman" started me on Where's George" about two years ago.
Whenever I have crisp new currency, I mark it with the Where's George information. I have had 40 some "hits" on notes I have put into circulation, and I have found several which other people started.
I think it's great. Dig into that site and you will be amazed at the different kinds of information available.
My most interesting experience was when one of my $20 bills turned up in Hawaii. We had been there a couple months before, and had seen the play "South Pacific." The guy who found my bill sent me an e-mail and told me of his father-in-law and the part he played in the original movie.
I really enjoy the site. There's nothing to joining, and it's a lot of fun when one of your notes are reported to have been found.
My note with the most stops was a $1 bill which traveled through four states. Started here in western Colorado, and was last heard in Indiana.
It's fun. Try it.

I just lost interest, I do still get hits from time to time.

I have gotten a few and for a while I was actually entering in all the bills, and its kinda cool to track it, I just wish more people did it...then you could see how far it would go...I took a bunch that I got here in California and when I went to hawaii I spent them there and in New York.....but its been 8 months and still nothin.... I started on Where's George when I found a bill with their website. I started entering bills and have had only 2 hits. It's been awhile since I've entered any. I started feeling bad defacing the bills just like some get mad when they mark coins. Maybe I shouldn't feel that way but that's why I quit. Is it wrong to mark them with the Where's George information?

This is great - I have never heard of this before. It really helps answer the question of how far a dollar goes nowadays
