I just found this coin in a roll but I can't seem to find much information on pennies with no letters. Valuable or collectible? The best part is its in pretty good condition which makes me pretty happy as well!

Same here!! I've just started searching about a year ago and I've looked through a few thousand pennies with a magnifying glass and haven't seen one like this yet!

Grease-filled die is my guess. Nice find!

Thank you! That seems pretty accurate. I see images and forums about it and that must be it. I'm glad I finally found an error and not PMD:) Thank you for the help!

I don't know everything about the coin business but all the greasers I've seen and found the affected area is more wide spread. Let's wait and see what the pro's say maybe the y took a hit a took the Y clean off lol. Still a keeper

I was noticing most of them were affected in more places than just one letter but examples of Kennedy halfs do have just a couple letters missing. Hopefully a Grease Filled Die expert takes a look!

It appears to be a struck though grease issue. The L on LIBERTY gets weaker with die wear, but the other letters look strong and flattened some from circulation.

Great example! Your saving the day. I'll start categorizing and preserving all my errors so they don't wear out even more. I really appreciate the advice

I just noticed one of my 1916 pennies has "IN GOD WE TRU T" where the "S" is just completely missing. I think it's a similar error to what you were discussing.

Yes it is, deboriole. I recently found one where the "S" in States on the reverse was completely missing also. Struck Through Grease error.
