Have the opportunity to buy this safe and was looking for opinions on it. Does anyone have anything like it or know anything about them?
Thanks!
Noah

Never heard of them. Looks rather small. Difficult to judge size from the photo though. Looks really tuff. Also, looks expensive.

My main problem is that the seller doesn't know the model, so I have no idea if it is fire proof.

The seller doesn't know his product well enough to answer basic questions and the product info section of the manufacturer's website is in German.
If I was shopping for a safe, I think I might feel better with a dealer who could answer questions and product info that was in English.

The safe is used and for sale on a local site similar to Craigslist.

For any small safe such as this one, I would be inclined to hide it by putting a cardboard box over it.
A little extra security for zero extra cost.

No bolt-down holes? Hmmmmm.....

@noahs, just saw and responded to your post in another thread. I couldn't find anything on Google regarding this safe. Is it a re-brand of something else? I'd ask for more info from the seller.

[edit] Ok, I Googled "rottner comsafe" after reading the title of your post more carefully and got some hits. Definitely a European thing. Looks pricey. You may want to go to a local locksmith and ask about them. Still... no way to bolt this thing down from the inside? That's not good in my book.

I think the plug in the center might be access for bolt-down. One 20mm though-bolt would be enough.

Rottner makes nice stuff (from my research) but this model is no longer listed and they don't fire-certify all their products. Without that knowledge, I'd frankly leave this one alone. Another consideration to me is what looks like electronic-only access - what happens when that stuff gets melted in a fire? What if a battery goes funny and zaps a chip on the logic board? I am really no fan of electronic safes, especially when they don't have keyed backup.

Yes, I think I will leave this one because the #1 thing I am protecting against is fire anyways.
Thanks!
