Hi, Out of 97.1 million (RAM) 10 cent coins. How many of this die's error got past into circulation? Does anyone have a rough guess?
What other high key date's do I need to look for? in the Ten Cent realm!! Thanks..

Welcome to CCF!

Cuds in the tail feather area on 10c coins are quite common. I would guestimate from my searching that approximately 1 in 500 coins has a Cud there (I usually get about 2 in $100). They vary in size and shape by quite a bit. I really like them and keep any that I find.

The keepers in the 10c series IMO:
1985
1991
2011
Any mint set only years.

And any errors of course!

I have some spares and will send you one. They are known as 'fat' feather Cud. The Cuds in this area of the 1999 10c coins are quite varied in length and width. You can see some of them here along with a few other years.

Its a 'point and shoot' Canon ixus 125. Cost $170 from Myers. I've been very impressed so far. Those were the first closeup pics I've attempted.
