Quote: I will probably fill mine out tomorrow sometime. The form states it has to be sent in by June 30th. Just make sure you don't procrastinate too long.

I faxed my application yesterday. The application notes, "Offer valid for the first 1,000 non-ANA members who respond by June 30, 2013." It would be interesting to know how many new ANA memberships are finally generated through this offer.

I didn't notice it was limited to the first thousand applicants. Have mailed mine in and hope it's okay. The ANA fellow who posted earlier indicated they could upgrade to a regular membership so that's terrific. One of my favorite numismatic books is the " ANA Centennial History" by David Bowers. It's like a coin time machine, just open it at random and you are back in 1925 or whenever and reading about coin collecting and dealing in a bygone era.

Congrats to the ANA and Stacks Bowers for doing this. The ANA is a fantastic organization, heck the access to the library via mail alone is more than worth the cost, their magazine is great too. I asked for a Life Membership decades ago, my parents HS graduation gift to me. I think it was $350.00 back then as I recall.

I have not heard anything yet. Depending on whether or not anyone else has, I'll give Stack's Bowers a call early next week and inquire as to the status of the ANA applications.

I called Stack's Bowers earlier today and talked with one of their customer service reps concerning the ANA membership form. He took my name and checked their data base to make sure my form had been received, entered and processed, which it had been. I asked if they sent the form right over to ANA or if they held onto them for any period of time and he said they sent the forms over the very day they received them. Apparently, according to Stack's and Bowers, ANA is running a bit behind on membership notifications. He told me to expect up to a 6 week wait before receiving the membership package via the postal service. Hopefully it doesn't take that long, but at least the wheels are in motion!

here, too. It will be 6 weeks since I sent in my application next Tuesday, June 11. If I have not received my membership notification by then, I'll ring up Stack's and ANA again. You would think ANA would be a bit more responsive to prospective members in light of their declining membership roll.
