Six days left voting has been steady but I would have expected a little more interest

I don't know if that's all bad. 43 votes as of now and just about half are voting for the same design. Seems like no matter the number of voters the design is going to win in a land slide

I know one design is ahead at the moment but the voting severs two purpose one to select the design and the second to judge interest in the project. I figure around 60% of the total voters will be interested in actually getting a token So this should give me an idea of the number for the initial order and what the unit price will end up being.

I could have just produced a token and offered it here but I thought it would be good to get the community involved after all its going to be a CCF token. I did not really expect it to get out of hand but I should have realized the issues of making it a community project. CCF is a very diverse family and there is going to be some conflict in any endeavor. I did not help matters as this coincided with a really bad time for me. I really did not have the time to devote to this I needed. Things are a little calmer now and I can begin to give this project the time it needs. I am not guaranteeing I will stay that way, I am back in Angola and have the task of bringing a 45,000 ton hunk of floating metal to within 30ft of a platform and keeping it there.

nohope587, Make no mistake, what you are doing is a GREAT idea. I agree with 52Raymo. I'm sure the interest is there. You could also take pre orders to verify this. I will be ordering. Thanks again for what you are doing & all the time you are putting into this project.

I agree that the confusion of the last one may have caused some people to sit out this vote. There are probably a number of people who did vote before that haven't even noticed that there is a new vote currently underway.
Once the voting is complete, the final design tweaked (in case of duplicate information on both sides, etc.), and a rough range of potential prices known, a new thread to determine overall purchasing plans should be started. I know we had some "how much would you pay for a silver CCF token?" type polls earlier, however those don't give an indication how many will be bought (as some people may want one, others may want 20+).
For example: "At $30.00, how many silver tokens would you be interested in buying? At $32.50, how many silver tokens would you be interested in buying? At $35.00, how many silver tokens would you be interested in buying? At $37.50, how many silver tokens would you be interested in buying? At $40.00, how many silver tokens would you be interested in buying?" ** I have no idea what the price range will be; the range included is ONLY for example purposes **
That should give you a better idea of how many to order for the initial run - particularly if you include details on approximate shipping costs (or any other fees) so that people are less likely to balk later if the all-in cost is much higher than they expected.

Three days left folks voting has already past the first poll but considering the number of People online here on a daily basis you would think this was a presidential election. Your vote will help to determine what the CCF token looks like.

Richard,
Irrespective of which design that is ultimately decided upon I feel that the horizontally-written capital letters of ‘CCF' should be placed somewhere in the same vicinity of the words ‘Coin Community Family'; having an obverse or reverse placement of ‘CCF' is irrelevant as long as it appears on at least one(1) side of the token.
Displaying some other vertical orientation or concentric lettering, for example, of ‘CCF' would detract from the customary horizontal layout that is normally read in print or on-line.
This horizontal layout should help to better propagate 'instant' visual recognition/brand name and ownership of these three(3)capital letters that the entire world will automatically come to associate with ‘Coin Community Family' without having to write out all three words. For example, everyone in the world knows what the letters, NRA, stand for because of excessive advertisements and media exposure. Just like the National Rifle Assn. owns the letters of ‘NRA', the Coin Community Family will come to eventually own, ‘CCF', at least subjectively for purposes of marketing to the minds of the millions of Internet readers...
Having a four(4) digit date(s) written somewhere along the bottom curvature, for example, of the obverse or reverse side also would be essential.
However, the date of 2013 would really only be significant if it was marking the tenth (10th) anniversary of CCF, for example. Until a milestone like this occurs, however, I would vote for marking this token with the ‘BOTH' date of the year that CCF began its operations along with 2013.
IMHO, mdpmedia

CCF members have voted. I am locking this thread so there is no bickering or 2nd guessing.
