Okay, so its stripped bare and pitted from electrolysis but it is what it is - a starry field helmet with a Beata reverse. Hopefully london mint, but its looking a lot like Trier. Eh.

I plan to bury this and check on it in a year or so. Unless someone else has any ideas to patinate it?

Heres the reverse, teensy picture so I dont know the mint yet.

ebay should not be a deterrent when buying coins.
Just make sure they have a clear return policy and good feedback.
If they are below 99%, I avoid them.

Vermontensium...my main bugbare with ebay is glitches. 9 seconds left? Nope. Auction finished ages ago according to them.

This guy has 100% and I can see why - nice guy.

Remember, as XKCD says, if you send every 30th customer an angry bobcat instead of their item, you'll still have 97% positive feedback.

Nice coin. Silly question, or more ignorant, why would you want to deteriorate the coin? It looks fantastic.

A lot of people dont like depatinated coins. I'm not really one of them but I understand that its more appealling to have it on. The main issue for me here is that its pitted.

Ill see how it looks in hand. If its london, and I like the sparkle, then ill keep it like that. Otherwise, ill repatinate, or, if you like it, we could do a trade or something.

Not a bad coin. If you soak it in Olive oil it will darker it up.
