First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Wasn't sure if I should put it here or in the Identification forum.

Anyways, my dad has this proof coin that he got from my grandma about a year ago. It's a commemorative of 9/11. I have looked all over the web but can't find anything about it. Also, It isn't like a U.S. coin though.. Instead of flipping the coin to see the obverse straight up, you turn it either left or right, so I was guessing maybe it's some sort of token?
Also, I believe it could be silver. It's the size of an ASE, it has all silver color around the edge, and it's not magnetic. I can't determine weight though since I don't have a scale.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

It appears to be the proof silver version of a medal struck by Northwest Territorial Mint; they also struck the piece in nickel, bronze and something they call MerlinGoldĀ®.

I say "appears to be" because the overall design of your piece is a close match to the NWT Mint piece as depicted on their site, but I do notice a few small differences in the details.

I would contact NWT Mint and send them the images of your piece and ask them to confirm if it is one of theirs.

Here's a link to a page with all of the medal versions listed: https://store.nwtmint.com/Historical/Tribute/1

Good luck!
