Large Diecrack on the obverse and a diecrack through the top legend of the reverse plus a large planchet flaw.
I have no idea how to 'guess' a value for something like this.
Can anyone help with any pointers? Thanks, darge.

Die cracks usually add between nothing and $2. More well known or spectacular cracks or planchet flaws may attract higher premiums. I would be putting yours in the $2-5 category I reckon. Quite an interesting coin. The reason predecimal die cracks dont attract much of a premium is that theyre so common, especially in the KGV copper denominations. Some years are worse than others. 1924 is a good year if youre a die crack collector whilst 1936 is a year that is less commonly cracked.

Yeh they are decent errors, worth hanging onto for sure.

If you hunt through ebay enough you will start to pick up trends. There are hundreds/thousands of die cracks and planchet flaws etc for sale at the moment. You can do an advanced search for ended items and that will show you what did sell, what didnt sell and then maybe you can work out reasonable prices for things.

True but you would need to be fairly committed. Perhaps even eligible to be, by the sounds of the prices they achieve.
It was a lot quicker asking and much less work. lol
Thanks again.
