A few days ago, 52Raymo asked me to post this for grading. It is one of the first 2 coins I ever collected. (See the 1908-s IHC post located several posts back in the Modern Error and Variety forum). I know it won't grade well at all, but its sentimental value is off the charts. In all these years (42+) I have never had it graded and I welcome all opinions. Thank you. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***Edited by Sudz 05/07/2013 10:35 am

I think it is really cool that this is one of your first coins and you've had it for 42 years! The sentimental value far exceeds any grade opinion I might have. Let's call it a Sudz-01.

she looks like a F15 to me. I guess we now know where are all those coins that are no longer circulating went. they went into the Sudz-zone. I can relate Sudz, I have a couple that I have had for over 40 years, they are part of the family and I could never part with them.

Thanks for all your kind words. For me, coin collecting has been a common thread running throughout all of life's twists and turns. Hey Panzaldi, would you consider posting your old friends?

Very nice coin, I love the FEC! I have a few my father gave me as gifts.

I'd say a F15+ minimum and just shy of VF20.

Broken wing tip? I'm guessing that is yet another thing that I know nothing about... Can anyone fill me in, please?

I wonder what the significance of this is, if any. Is it an error or a variety. Is it common or scarcer? Anybody know?

That's a solid coin. I'd say F-15 also.
