This 1899 pic was taken in full sun and therefore is shown here a bit lighter than in reality. Fingerprint,..and dark spots ...sadly at no extra charge...

Would the 2011 Charlton mention the 1899 repunched 9 (right now I only have the 2010 Charlton as a reference guide)..?

Thanks,..and any comments and added info greatly appreciated..

If I had to assign it to one of the ones in the book, I would have to say it is the one on pg. 346 or Gr-271. Value given in MS-60 is $120.

I'm going to say MS63/64 RD for a grade.

Yup, the 2011 is the one with the large cent varieties. I find it quite helpful.

PCGS would be pretty hard on that coin, with all those spots... but it would not surprise me in the least to see that coin in a ICCS MS-64+ red holder...

There is nothing that looks any worse on a coin then fingerprints.

That is a great looking coin otherwise, I would say looks MS-63/4 to me.

Thanks for the great input and direction. It's getting me back in the swing...

This coin is graded..R & B ..63 and maybe that's because of the fingerprints..etc.. You guys are more generous with me...

Maybe the stains make the first eye appeal/impression bad.

Yeah, that must be why they gave it RB instead of RD.

Hi,

The 2013 Charlton has the RP9 listed with a nice picture on page 58 with no listing price for MS-63 ... MS60 is at $125.

Nice coin !!
