I can't get enough of these Three Cents! Note: Ignore the white dot on the bottom of her cheek and on the bottom of her hair, those are dust particles on my camera lens.

Welcome to the club! IMHO this one is a little bit of a challenge. I feel like the obverse is F15 (hair blends into the forehead, hair to the right of the coronet is less than 50%) but the reverse is stronger, in the VF range. Excellent line separation in the III. I look forward to additional opinions .

A lot of 3 cent pieces were very weak strikes, particularly the obverse. its tough to find full line separation on the reverse. IMO, your obv may be more due to strike than wear. I think this coin could get a TPG as high as AU50.

at least EF45 and ,ore likely AU50/53 at a TPG the reverse is super nice, fully struck and very little if any real wear or rub. The obverse is weakly struck not much wear on this coin.

Thank you all, I was thinking AU50 when I got the coin in hand. For $18, I'd buy it again anyday!

For $18.00 I'd buy all I could if they were this nice, in fact I might spend until I was broke and had to sell some!

I am more in the EF-40ish area and may have had a light cleaning. Still a great buy for $18!{up]

I puzzled over this coin for a while as I have three of these in AU/MS state. The obverse hair is the high point and first to wear. But the surrounding detail is so crisp and the back so pristine that I believe Panzaldi nailed it as a weak strike. However, since the coin is largely graded on the obverse, I would not give it any more than VF 30. Even at that grade, it's worth twice what you paid.
