Peter and I are both in our 60s and share a common background. He told me today, and showed me a decent survivor in today's age: a 1908 Indian Head cent found in a bank roll! Well, he was happy to share in his enthusiasm. He gets a few strange coins passed on to him from customers, but as an old-time collector his interest is still strong. We enjoy sharing coin stories. Coin collecting is where you find it. Not only in the CCF but also in the store up the street. --- *Package store: A place to buy alcoholic products in a state in which such sales are conducted by private individuals. We do not have "State Stores" in Connecticut.

It's not always about the coin, but rather about the cool stories between friends and family that share it with you!

This "package store" seems interesting to me since here in Texas there are liquor stores on almost every corner.
Or am I to understand they are the same thing?

I would imagine this sort of store would be a great place to find valuable currency. When you need a fix, and all you have is grandpa's coin collection.. Well.. you get the picture.

They are called spirits stores here in pa, state operated.
And baysinger I see that kind of behavior all the time where I work, a cigarette shop. The best someone paid with was a young girl paid for her pack of sonomas with 19 silver quarters! She even appoligized for having to pay in quarters. As soon as I saw them I said its not a problem!

the next thing you should have done was ask if she had any more, because you could always use extra change for the drawer.
