Just wondering, as a seller on ebay, can you cancel a sale to a buyer if the buyer has only 1 feedback or multiple negative feedbacks and you feel nervous selling to them?

I technically can cancel anything and say that the item isn't for sale or lost, youll get charged the final value fee of it though if the buyer doesn't agree. Its frowned upon but no one can force you to go through with it and ship the item if you refund their money

, but that's the only real way you can do it. You can, as a condition of the sale, restrict it to buyers who have a net positive Feedback rating, but that's about it. You can't stop a bidder who has 5 Negs in 50 Feedbacks, for instance.

I utilize the bidder screening settings in TurboLister but I have only had to cancel one bid due to questionable feedback. Last year, I was selling an NGC slabbed 1922 no-D Lincoln w/weak reverse VG Details. I had a bid at $300 from someone with zero feedback so I felt it necessary to cancel the bid due to the potential for fraud. I sent the guy a message telling him that he may want to bid on some lower-priced items before he starts throwing out multi-hundred dollars bids with no feedback. Judging by the message he sent back to me, he was an older gentleman not quite familiar with the intricacies of ebay bidding and had had a few other bids cancelled as well but without the friendly advice email so he was thoroughly confused as to why his bids kept getting cancelled. I have no problem selling to people with zero feedback but I prefer it to be a $30 item and not the most expensive thing I have ever sold

I know, some people buy low cost coins off me and ask "how long will it take you to leave me feedback?". I tell them I will leave it right away but mentioned that they should want the coin. It is usually a low cost Indian head or V nickel. I buy lots and some coins are worth more than others. Even when I got to a local dealer and buy out of the bulk bin, I don't really get to choose. I actually have some coins laying around I could sell super cheap like 75 cents and a stamp.

You can put in your ebay listing that buyers with several negative feedback or very low feedback have to send you a message first. I normally hate selling to people like that because most of the time they don't pay or something.
