I chose a "couple" in this poll to represent my three. Three is less than several!

These polls aren't really scientific, so three could mean a couple or several. I'm surprised how many people are picking up two or three. I understand you can't really loose with this coin but are you buying with collecting in mind or an increase in future value? Personally, I'm undecided but leaning towards not buying.

The face value is the only thing that will be this coin's saving grace from post-production price drop...

Obviously! This is what makes this coin interesting!
The same coin, issue at 100$ and face value of 20$... I would not get any. 100$ face value, I got 3, and will probably get some more.

I don't get why the first 2 questions use the past "bought" when the coins have not been released yet.

Exactly. A similar reverse proof SML w/ privy mark would typically have a mintage of 25k or so and sell for $50-60 (or more). The 100/100 has an Ag content about the same but denomination of $100 versus $5 (read value insurance).

So this coin has 20 times FV and double the mintage but has an arguably nicer design. It's also 2mm larger. True that SML privies have an existing collector base but I think the upside of the $100 FV makes this coin very appealing.

Even with a face value of 100$ it would need better design (IMO) for me to buy some.

I'm undecided how many to get. And just to think, I thought my wallet was going on a diet for the month of May.

The hit from the all perspectives.
Just exchange $100 bill with $100 coin.

Now seriously:
First $100 FV 1oz silver coin from RCM.
The disign is good, better than on the Bullion Bison from Wild Life series.
Mate Proof finish
IMO, good addition to the RCM NCLT collection.
Mintage is high, but not all the coins suppose to be 10.000 and under units produced.
Will buy 2, to have one extra...just lazy to buy it right now.

I've decided to buy after all. After seeing the results of the pole combined with the fact that it's an attractive design with an animal theme and the first in the series it was pretty easy to choose to buy. The first $20 for $20 coin is going for 150% to 200% of it's original issue price. This coin may not be a good investment for a long term but it does posses good short term investment potential. Now we just need to see if it sells out in the initial MC release.

By the way:
