1940 Gem 10 Cent .....with Re-Engraved Date

I bought this coin as a set of 10c pieces dated from 37 to 52.

All were in a large Capital case and sold as one lot at an auction in the 80's. Still have that case somewhere.

All were listed as ch to gem coins but no mention of re-engraved dates.

All were sent to ICCS for grading in the 90's. ICCS did not make mention of the re-engraved date. Same applies to my 1939 re-engr 10c coin.

Started to take another peek at them,.. and saw this.

Thanks for the super link....your 1940 date is amazing.

Mine sure does look like it's in it's infancy when compared to yours. I still wonder why ICCS didn't add the detail to the grade?
