Does anyone else see a 1989 style "G" on this 1988-p LMC? Can you make out the "hook" on the G or am I once again seeing things... Unfortunately, this is the best I can do with my camera. Thanks for your help with this.

It is a 005. Normal for that year. Another way to tell is to look at the "AM" on AMERICA. The 006 looks different.

Coop; thanks for the info. I knew there was something about the M but I thought it was the thickness of the "legs".

I had a question about one not long ago and someone, I think it was coop also, said the FG was very sharp due to the new dies. If you will notice on most of the normals, the FG is pretty weak. The FG on the 89's looks very sharp.

I remember last year when I had trouble telling the difference and coop saved the day with the same pic about the AM differences. I prefer to look at the AM its bigger and can be seen with a loupe.
