Obtained this coin and the seller identifed it as Sinkiang 1886 1/2 miscal. Not idea if it is right but thought I ask the question here.

China-Islamic-Coin?

On the other hand, I managed to restore this coin partially. A rather scarce coin from Uighurstan which didn't last more than a year in 1933. It was a place that tried to declare independence, only to get brutally crushed by the Chinese army.

China-Islamic-Coin?

This has been in olive oil for more than ONE year, if not close to two years and have changed the oil quite regularly.

Wow, love those coins. Those are both real gems and right up my alley. True dark-siders.

Question, what is the size on that Sinkiang?

Have not found an exact match for your Sinkiang (Xinjiang) 1/2 miscal but this link has some interesting information and examples of both counterfeit and genuine coins of that period. Thought it might be helpful.

Scroll down to A8 and you will be able to view both the counterfeits and genuine coins.
