Poll Question
I have had trouble getting feedback from people lately. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you leave feedback?

Poll Choices
I leave feedback as soon as I receive my item or as soon as the buyer pays regardless
I leave feedback after the buyer leaves feedback and I know everything is good
I don't leave feedback at all

Its so hit or miss over whether you get feedback or not. Sometime youll get 10 from the last 10 sales other times youll get 2.

I leave feedback as soon as I get my item and as soon as the buyer receives my item and hasn't messaged me.

I haven't been getting a whole lot of feedbacks lately either. Very low percentages. Oh well, I think ebay feedback is a joke anyway.

As a buyer - I leave feedback once the item is in hand barring any problems

As a seller - I don't leave feedback unless requested by the buyer. You can't leave a buyer negative feedback anymore, so buying feedback means absolutely nothing.

I don't really like to leave feedback for the fact that your account is then visible to buyers that might not be happy with you or just some crazy guy. Like if you won something that someone else really wanted and they start trying to find you to get back at you because there mad.
Maybe I worry to much.

I leave feedback when the buyer has received the item and lets me know there are no problems, normally meaning leaving me feedback. I don't want to leave them good feedback and then they have a problem I have to deal with. Does this sound bad to anyone?

I used to do that, but it may have seemed that I got more feedback from buyers when I started giving feedback right after payment. Theoretically, the buyer has completed his/her main obligation, which is to pay. As long as I receive a payment, that buyer gets positive feedback. For the amount of times you may have an unrealistic buyer, it is probably not worth it. If you have anything to say about that buyer, reply to the feedback he/she left for you, then everyone can see both sides of the story.

Edit: Noticed that one person voted that they never leave feedback. Why not?

This has been my standard practice for over a decade.

I don't leave feed back unti I know the buyer is satisfied. If I haven't heard from the buyer by email or feedback within a reasonable time of shipping I send them an email asking if the item got there & if they were satisfied. You can call me cynical, but I'm not rewarding someone before I know if they will turn into the buyer from the bad place.

Edited to change "feedback" to "email". Thanks to Bassmaster for the heads up.

trdhrdr007, I assume you mean send them a message? That is exactly my idea in this too. I reward them and then they turn around and get me.

Another thing that annoys me is when you receive a message saying everything is fine, leave feedback, ask for feedback and they only send you back "everything is fine, thanks".

Did trdhrdr007 comment again? It says he did on the outside, but I don't see it in here.

I always leave feedback when I sell regardless of the buyer's action thanking them for their purchase.
I always leave feedback right away accept if there was stuff I was disjointed about like scotch taping coins.
I only leave negative feedback though when it is really warranted.
