That's obviously a mint error. Can't believe the RCM lets that into circulation. BTW: I am kidding.

ASYN Auctions, I don't know how people bid on this stuff, it is always over graded and goes for more then it is ever worth.

I must admit I buy some exonumia pieces from ASYN. In the past month, there have been Trade dollars and tokens listed that I have not seen in years... Quite happy about that!!

I have picked up some MacPuffin Dollars from Asyn lately. Trying to get a complete set for my wife. She's not a coin collector, but she loves birds (especially puffins), and she gets a kick out of these tokens.

middross, I grew up in Cape Breton, and of course, collect MacPuffin Dollars. I snagged the three .999 silver ones Asyn posted recently. If there are any years you are missing, send me a PM. I have multiples of the common metal strikes.

I'm no expert, but I think that is considered a "heavily cleaned" coin.

For those who haven't yet seen one (me up until now), here's an example of a MacPuffin Dollar: I can see why they would be collectible. I also found this photo: That's not you is it SSP?

Nope. I hold my coins by the edges...
