I have not been able to find much information on this topic. Would the use of Verdi-Care be appropriate? It seems to have been good for my coppers. I would be interested in any thoughts.

Silver Colonials!? First you MUST share pics! Second Verdi-Care, I imagine, would not harm them at all.

Verdicare is some complicated chemical reactions. Silver is less reactive than copper but its not impossible for VC to do some damage. At least the copper bit of the coin will be sparkly and well conserved!

Id wait for BadThad to weigh in (or PM him yourself).

Nice! That is a beautiful Threepence! I would leave it alone...it does not need any conservation...imo.

Wow that's a lot of numbers and letters.

Nice coin.

Leave it as it.

Doesn't appear to be corroding or deteriorating.

Nice coin! I would leave it as is.

I have used Verdicare and like the product. But feel that yours is not in need of it.

Thanks, everyone, for your help. It is exciting to have this coin - never thought it would happen! It is a 50th wedding anniversary gift from my wife!

And I'd say your wife is fine just the way she is, as well!

Add me to the chorus saying to leave it alone! I don't see any reason for this coin to be "conserved".
