1878 S Morgan Question

I've had an 1878 S Morgan for a while now. I began to recently look at it with my loupe and noticed an interesting feature on it. The R in the word TRUST is more like an I than an R, like TIUST. I noticed that this was a characteristic of a VAM, but only for the 79 S, not the 78 S. Can anyone help me with information I should look for on it to determine what I'm seeing or if it's fake or something. Thanks for any help.

You can find that broken "r" throughout 1878's and 1879's; there are a number of 1878-S VAMs with it. 37 different VAMs, plus subvarieties, in fact.
