I give this coin a grade of MS64, but may be a bit better. The band lines appear full but contact marks obscure much of the detail. I just listed this coin here in the Coin Community Auction thread, and I want to be as true to grade as possible.

Aside from some bag marks it's a beautiful coin. I am still new to grading and IMHO I'd say MS62-64.

Definitely a MS-65, hard to say if it is FBL. The top and bottom set are definitely split, just don't know enough about FBL to know, even with the closeup, if the middle set is split or not. Rick would be a better judge on that, he has more experience with the Merc's than I. But, definitely MS-65.

P.S. Didn't you have this for sale yesterday?

MS63. I see too many hits to go higher than that. If I were selling it, that's what I would call the grade. Without the hits in the field above DIME, I'd go MS64.

While the top and lower bands are split, I do not believe the center bands will qualify for FSB.

I'm thinking 63 or 64. Mercs, for some reason, tend to be held to a pretty high standard for marks. It may be that they're commonly available in high grade, resulting in tighter grading.

MS-63 for the reasons cited by Susan,FSB requires that the bands be fully divided and rounded(Fully struck). This coin does not meet that criteria in my opinion !!

I've seen a lot of Mercury dimes and I'd say that's definately between MS63-MS64! Fantastic BU.
The Reverse is better than the obverse and I would give it a MS65 or higher if the face on the obverse were a slightly bit smoother.
